I just started my treatment with invisalign yesterday and was wondering if anyone else ever had a hard time with removing the aligners. It seems like as soon as I do – they hurt so much more – and even though I only take them out for long enough to eat and brush – it hurts so much to put them back in. Will I get use to it?
Tags: amount, Does, Large, Paia couple years back, it was a very stressful time and I wasn’t thinking straight and got really frustrated and strained the area on the right side of my face above my eye etc, I did it a few different occasions and well I felt really sick then after and really dizzy and had trouble seeing and talking and my right eye was down and my face looked dead on that side, I had a lot of trouble thinking too like thinking really slowly as well as feeling like I would throw up when trying to use the computer, horrible headaches, then when trying to sleep it felt like the muscles in my head grinding or something from being strained, i noticed my right ear moving (from the muscles around it i believe), my jaw muscles or something started locking at night in an open position (kind of springy, up and down but couldn’t close) which i think caused some tmj like problems, I also had horrible chest pain and shortness of breath at rest or after exercising, i felt pain during exercise too it was a struggle to go exercise but i felt better then than when not exercising, i think the chest pain is muscular as it felt like the muscles were going around my pecs up towards my neck and around the ears, prob from straining the muscles so much, my neck and jaw muscles have been getting weaker, i have taken a lot of warm baths over the last couple years and ice packs and was sleeping a lot, and my face looks better but still kinda bad especially if not getting tons of sleep, the muscles (esp face, neck, jaw, chest, feel very weak when not getting lots of sleep), some of the other things have improved too but i’m still having problems, i’m wearing a splint for tmj because i have muscle spasms around the jaw, neck etc, does anyone have any advice on doctors to see or things to have checked? any exams or scans, maybe for facial trauma? or serious things to rule out that could have happened? I have had a chest xray, basic blood tests (cbc?), checkup with neurologist, head/brain mri?, optometrist vision exam, or any tips for improving muscle weakness esp around jaw, face, neck chest, i am mainly concerned now with that, the shortness of breath, trouble talking, jaw muscle spasms and my facial appearance still looks kinda bad on the right side around the eye and that area, stress makes the muscles spasm more and causes them to be weaker but it’s not the main cause, it all started when i did that to my head, i continued to keep going and exercise which could have made things worse, and there was a lot of fighting in my house and yelling so i could have strained even more my neck or jaw, and made the muscles spasm and get weaker and worse, but now things are better and i want to get help so i can be 100% again, any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
sorry it’s so long, if anyone has any medical experience and good advice please answer, thanks!
I fell ill a few years ago and the Dr.’s couldn’t figure it out. I found this chiropractor that promised all of these wonderful things, but he didn’t accept my insurance so I had to pay all of the fees. He did some witch doctor crap on me and I paid for a while and then after about a month I quit going and to my suprise I got a $700 bill. Is there anything I can do? I feel like I was taken advantage of.
got adjusted for the first time EVER and the guy crack my neck back and stretched my muscles in my back. then he went down and started to massage a part right inside my hip bone…my boyfriend came over soon when that happened and he stopped soon after my boyfriend came over. has anyone else had this…is this what they’re supposed to do?? i don’t want to go back to him if he was being inappropriate
might i add he also took my boyfriend me and my friend out to lunch and picked up a 40 dollar tab
I had a bad case of sciatica for which I was given a double does injection of Tramadol on this past Wed. I was also put on gabapentin 300mg 3x a day and celebrex 200mg 1x a day and additional oral tramadol 50mg 1 or 2 tabs every 6 to 8 hours a day.Everything has worked great no longer have pain in my lower back or right buttock however the pain is still in my right thigh and right calf all on the backsides. I only can walk or stand for abou 5 minutes before the pain is so bad I have to o lay down on my left side with my legs slightly bent to find any relief.
I have a horrible burning and pins and needles feeling and it seems to feel numb and cold like the blood has stopped flowing in my leg. The doctor said he didn’t feel sspasms at my appointment even though I ad and I thought I needed a muscle relaxer. I’m desperate for some help, I’m moving in the next week or so and this is even affecting how much time I can play with my 2year old girl and that’s not acceptable to me.
can anyone help?

Tags: body, Could, Muscular, biceps, ABSI heard about a chiropractor offering spinal decompression as an alternative to back surgery for slipped or herniated disc. What does decompression therapy do?
Tags: Therapy, What, Spinal, decompression, spinal decompressionI have a sciatica pain since 2.5 yrs and I am also taking treatment for that, doctor usually inject me and manipulate my spine. Now I dont have pain in my leg but I have inflammation in my lower back and I can’t sit without support and also I cant take weights. Tell me is it curable, will I be normal again and get my life back? or I should go for surgery? or I should continue same treatment (but I get relief for just 1 month and again I get inflammation).
After a somewhat severe chest side pain crisis that came about suddenly, my roommate was taken yesterday to the county hospital for investigations. After the tests what I can tell you is this: No heart-attack, no pulmonary embolism, and pain relieving drugs not to efficient in pain-treatment. He experiences pain with breathing, burping and mostly deep breathing. He hasn’t suffered any trauma to his chest/back region. Has anyone got any ideas as to what his affliction may be? He is 31 years old, around 100 kilos and 1,80m, with no family history related to heart disease. He is a somewhat heavy smoker with a somewhat sedentary lifestyle, but overall an active person. What could this be? I should mention he’s recently had flue-like symptoms with fever, but they’ve been gone for 2-3 days now.
Tags: Pain, Breathing, clue, Anyone, while, Deep, ChestI tore one of my lower back muscles back in May 2006 whilst playing netball. I was checked out at the hospital and given some fabulous drugs. I had 3 months off netball but have been going back on and off since end of July. It still isn’t right and I still get pain and am scared to put 100% in case I injure myself further.
Anyone know how long I should leave it until going back to netball fulltime? Anyone know anything I can do to get my back back to normal quicker?
I have tried Chiropractor and Osteopath but they can’t do anything for me. Massages help slightly but I am so sore afterwards, plus she says she cannot really do anything for me because the fibres that were torn have clumped together and are causing pressure on my spine! Any help would be sooo appreciated, I’m desperate to get back to exercising!
At first I wanted to be a massage therapist or a chiropractor but changed to Physical therapy. i want to help people, not work in a nursing home, probably children or teenagers maybe adults but not elderly. I want to help people be able to do the things they cant any more. Please help me come up with a good career. Im already in college in my second year so please help!!!
Tags: year, Therapist, Make, Theraist/, Assistant, PhysicalI have been thinking about being a Chiropractor for years now, and it just doesn’t seem right for me anymore. I would like to be a Coach for High School Wrestling, and still would like family time. I can be creative, but wouldn’t go as far to say artistic. I enjoy being physical, but also like using my brain. What career should I pursue?
I am almost 5 weeks pregnant and I am having horrible sciatic pain. It starts on the right side of my lower back and radiates down to my toes. Sometimes when I walk I feel like my leg just “gives out” if that makes any sense. The only relief I can get is if my husband grinds his knuckles into my right cheek…but that relief only lasts about 5-10 minutes. I had horrible sciatica in my second pregnancy but never this early. What have some of you done to relieve this? Warm baths and warm compresses are not touching it and I don’t have my first appointment for almost another month. I asked this question in the pregnancy section and didn’t get many responses…so I am asking it here! Thank you all!
I was just wondering if anyone had any stories thoughts about equine chiropractors and equine massage therapists. My mare gets her back worked on every couple of months and it really seems to help her, she really enjoys her massages too. If any of you use these services for yur horse, how often and what kind of results have you seen?
it’s been about 5years since the back of my neck started to feel really stiff and soar. I’ve been to chiropractors’ office but they seem to give me temporary relief rather than a perment treatment. When I put my head back my neck feels really soar and stiff almost like I have a steel plate in my neck. The doctors say that it’s just posture and sleeping position, but the pain has been with me so long that I think there might be something else wrong. What can I do???
Tags: Neck, Pain, something, Constant, HelpI recently had an MRI, and the results came back. They said I had a disc protrusion compressing against my nerves. They also suggested to see a neurosurgeon.
I’m only 18 years old, and have no idea what that means, besides the fact that my disc is protruding out into my nerves, causing a lot of pain. The pain has been around almost 2 years now and I’ve decided recently to get it checked out.
Could someone explain what is actually going on, and what might the neurosurgeon actually do to me?
I currently weigh 80 kg, I’m 16 and 5’10. I’ve lost 12 kilos in the past 10 weeks, and I want to lose another 15. I’ve pretty much just been walking to school and back (half an hour all up) and doing a fast walk for an hour 5 nights a week, with a few sit ups and tricep dips thrown in. I’ve been eating smaller portions, and healthily. I’d like to be 70 kg by May. I don’t want to go to the gym, and I can’t get transport to go to a pool. I don’t want my weight loss to plateau I’m going to do another hour of walking in the morning 5 days a week as well. Maybe even some jogging.
I have kyphosis, and my doctor told me that the best way to fix it is to lose weight, as it is putting a lot of stress on my spine and making standing up straight harder for me. I have a genetic predisposition for it, but it’s quite treatable. Then when I get to my target weight I want to go to a gym and swim and do exercises to help me with my posture and back pain.
So does my exercise plan sound fine? I know cardio is really important in losing weight, and I enjoy it, but should I be doing more? Also, any exercises I can be doing at home or some healthy veggie recipe suggestions would be really nice.
I have used anti-inflammatories, and am seeing a chiropractor for one month , The pain has decreased slightly but is worse at night. The muscles in my left leg feel tight and hurt . What else could I do . The dr diagnosed it as sciatica but now I am not so sure. It was my first spin class and pronbably my lasy
Tags: Radiating, Class, Lower, Weeks, Pain, Have, Took, Spin, Still, BackI have tendonitis in my elbow. The pain extends to my upper arm. I do circuit training 3 times per week. I saw a doctor who advised me to stop all upper body equipment until the tendonitis was gone then add one machine back each week. The problem is my tendonitis has never completely healed. It hurts whether or not I have exercised. I take Advil but it gives me very little relief.
If I do my upper body exercises when the pain isn’t especially severe am I doing further damage to my arm?
Jury duty summons came in the mail for my husband, who is a chiropractor. He is self employed and would have to close his business to go, and his patients would be off their treatment plans. What is good way to get out of jury duty? This wouldn’t just affect his income, but also the health of his patients because it’s important not to miss appointments. This is what I plan to tell them, but would like a back up reason just in case.
Serious answers please, he cannot commit a felony or act prejudiced or act like he is crazy. The form doesn’t even ask form much personal information, just medical history and religious affiliations, both optional.
